Better late than never.

I know I owe a ton of requests from all the time I spent reading and responding to comments (which I am all caught up with now. Thank you!). I plan to do a requests post next week.

But in the meantime, another bunch of tracks. I should mention that anyone who has not recognized by now that a Smörgåsbord post is just a cop out when the deadlines, they are a looming deserves no sympathy. I am sorry that I do not really seem to be writing anything on a regular basis but everyone in my house is sick right now with a terrible cold (self included).

Please, be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you like/don’t like and what you want me to post more of. I REALLY dug Madilu, Matata and the track from Tsotsi so there will be more stuff like that going up for sure.

Another thing, anyone who writes a musical blog will tell you that a huge part of the pain is doing work not really related to writing the actual post that go up – formatting the posts so that they look right, uploading files, finding art, changing permissions on media etc. For example, it took me 10 minutes or so to actually write this post and another 45 minutes to do this type of stuff. I have been writing a tool to do this grunt work for me that seems to be shaping up pretty well and plan to start using it on a regular basis on this site within the next two weeks.

Hopefully, that will make for a more regular posting schedule since all the logistics will be that little bit less painful.

Here is the music. Enjoy.

Please can someone provide the lyrics of the following songs by Mbilia Bell (and Tabu Lay) for me:
    1. Shauri Yako
    2. Nadina
    3. I love you maria and
    4. Eswi ….

I will be glad to have them. I am a from an English speaking West African country but really in love with these songs when I was a kid and will like to know what they mean. A translation of the songs where possible will be appreciated otherwise I am okay with the original (Swahili) versions.
